I thought I was different cause I liked these things….

First and foremost, My name is Rohan King Jr and I am a Nerd.

Ever since my slightly younger God-brother introduced me to the world of Naruto, through my own PSP videogame, I was hooked.

Now that I am a young adult my addiction has blossomed,I watch shows like Death Note, Attack on Titan, Assassination Classrom, Akame Ga Kill, Kill la Kill, Black Clover, Black Butler Bleach, Dragon Ball Z Kai and so much more.

I now watch read manga and watch anime religiously, participate in heavy otaku discussions, pit Shonen protagonist against each other in death-matches, argue which will win, complain about Shonen anime, host D&D as the Dungeon Master, and now post Youtube video dissecting and analyzes animes such as Bleach and Demon slayer.

I am the equivalent of the average American obsessed with Football.

At the end of the day, I’m very proud of how I turned out, before, I was the outcast of outcasts. Take a skinny, Jamaican, closeted, ADHD child and put him through the crazy years of at Two Rivers Magnet Middle School and the annoying years of Two Rivers High School, which no longer existed as of 2017.

In Middle School, friends were hard to come by, especially if you always followed the rules, and always did your homework. Being In love with your best friend and trying to be the correct image of Black Americans amongst the like was more than challenging.

In High School, Though I earned Friends and became familiar with reality I lacked purpose, my heads always in the clouds and not a care in the world. That’s a no-no in a family of hardworking baptist Jamaicans.

Thankfully I found my life long friends: Zack Leon, Hakeem Cross, Julian Rios, Rebecca Serville, Tyler Duffy, Austin Raymond-Tricka as well as a great family helped me come out my shell and express my passion to make people laugh and be the star in my own show. The Zangetsu channel is my way of not only expressing my love for anime and all things otherworldly, but demonstrate everything I know about media literacy, and show everyone that follows my channel a whole new world of anime.
